Conditions of hiring Rushden Masonic Hall

  • If the hirer is not the responsible adult then they shall make know at the time of booking the name of the adult who will be the responsible person for overseeing these conditions of hire are adhered to during the period of hire. (the term “the hirer” in these conditions of hire is to be construed to meaning the responsible adult where one is nominated).
  • The hirer is responsible for the preservation of good order during the booking.
  • Damage to the premises or equipment caused by the hirer and/or function guests will be repaired or replaced as appropriate by Rushden Masonic Hall to a comparable standard and the hirer shall be liable to Rushden Masonic Hall for the cost of such repair or replacement.
  • The hirer will be responsible for complying with all or any licensing requirements, bylaws, Regulations or other rules governing the premises.
  • The hirer will comply with Rushden Masonic Hall’s health and safety regulations and familiarize themselves and their guests with the fire evacuation procedure.
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the building (this is a legal requirement)
  • A Rushden Masonic Hall Director or Senior catering staff member when present on the premises shall hold the full authority of the Rushden Masonic Board of Directors to take whatever appropriate action they see fit for the protection of people; Company equipment and/or the premises. The hirer agrees to comply with any relevant instruction given by such officer of the Company or catering staff.
  • The hirer or any member of their party shall not bring food or drink onto Rushden masonic Hall’s property without the prior written agreement of a Director of the Company.
  • Any entertainment booked must have Public Liability Insurance to comply with Rushden Masonic Hall’s Health and Safety requirements. A copy of the Insurance must be provided at least seven days prior to the booking taking place.
  • Rushden Masonic Hall will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused to visitors of the hall unless this has been caused by a Director, catering staff member or other employee of the Company. For the avoidance of doubt this includes personal loss and vehicles using the carpark.
  • Rushden Masonic Hall do not accept liability or pay compensation for any loss, damage or expense where the event/function or prompt performance of our obligation is prevented or affected by reasons of force majeure.
